Peepli Live recovered its investment before release

Aamir Khan’s Peepli Live, which will perhaps be the first non-commercial Hindi film to hit over 600 screens when it releases on Friday, has already recovered its investment by selling its satellite rights for Rs. 100 million.

Peepli Live to hit 700 screens worldwide

A small-budget Bollywood flick, Peepli Live is all set to be the first non-starcast movie to have a wide release on August 13. Actor-filmmaker Aamir Khan’s home production will hit across 600 screens in India and around 100 screens overseas. The film will release in the UK on September 24.
